We have had three fires in old, dead snags so far this spring started by trash fires.
Everyone is encouraged to use extreme caution when burning to prevent a bigger fire problem.

Please watch this section for updates on the Southern Southeast Emergeny Training Center (SSETC).
The SSETC has been awarded $750,000 by the Governor's to begin construction of the project. Due to the unexpected nature of the fees associated with obtaining a Corp permitt, the location of the training center is proposed to change to 10592 North Tongass Highway. |
